Guide: Pepper Trail

Focus: Birds and Rogue River

Description: Look for Lewis’s Woodpeckers, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Wood Ducks and Pygmy Owls during this joint SOLC - Rogue Valley Audubon Society tour exploring vernal pools, oak woodlands, chaparral and the riparian forest along the Rogue River.

Limit: 15

Meeting Location: Meet in White City to carpool to the Preserve near Dodge Bridge County Park in Eagle Point. Exact meeting location and directions will be emailed upon registration.

Difficulty: Moderately easy and flat at a slow birding pace, walking on roads, trails, and off-trail. Weed seeds and ticks may be present so long pants are advised. A portable toilet is available at the Preserve.
