Focus: Birds
Description: Hike with local bird expert and wildlife photographer, Frank Lospalluto, on the beautiful City of Ashland’s Imperatrice property east of Ashland in the Cascade Mountain foothills. This beautiful 876-acre grassland is an excellent place to see raptors and songbirds like Western Bluebird, Western Meadowlark, and the uncommon Grasshopper Sparrow. The wildflower show is usually spectacular as well.

Meeting Location: Near Ashland's interstate exit 19 to carpool. Meeting location and directions will be emailed upon registration.
Difficulty: Moderately difficult, covering up to 4 miles on rough trails on moderately steep slopes. Due to weed seeds and ticks, long pants and close-toed shoes advised. No bathrooms available.
