Focus: Birds, Bird Habitat, Fall Migration

Description: Bird a privately protected property and nearby federal lands on Howard Prairie with two excellent birders and naturalists. The group may see Great Gray Owl, White-headed Woodpecker, and migrating birds.

Limit: 15

Meeting Location: Ashland to carpool to Howard Prairie

Difficulty: Easy slow hiking on trails or roads.

Consider lending a hand for our beautiful wildlife at the Harry & Marilyn Fisher Preserve at Pompadour Bluff!

Our wonderful team of volunteers will be removing old farm and barbed wire fencing. The goal is to replace the perimeter fencing with a wildlife-friendly smooth wire fence to serve as a good neighbor for our human and wildlife friends.
