PHOTOS and RECAP: Landmark Member Hike & Lunch
At this year’s Landmark Member outing, guests enjoyed tours of a special conserved property, the C2 Cattle Company’s ranch lands in Eagle Point. Big thanks to ranch owners, Jim and Debbie Coonan, for hosting and sharing their story of the land. Ranch managers, Shawn and Heidi Jones, helped make this event a success. Thank you Eugene Wier and Lance Wyss of Freshwater Trust for guiding property tours. Eugene teamed up with SOLC’s Conservation Project Manager Paul Belson for a walk overlooking the diverse habitats of the ranch. Lance offered guests a peek at riparian restoration work he partnered up with C2 Ranch to enhance stretches of Little Butte Creek. We’d also like to thank Jeff LaLande for telling stories about the history of the land and the people that live, work and play in the area
