Conserved forever - 47 acres along Sardine Creek!

We did it! 47 acres along Sardine Creek conserved forever!

We are excited to announce the signing of a conservation easement with landowners Bonnie Brown and Clem Stockard, who have been active stewards of their beautiful land along Sardine Creek. Home to oak woodlands, mixed evergreen forest, chaparral, and riparian areas, the property is a host for a wide diversity of wildlife and plants. It is adjacent to BLM lands, some containing old growth forests and habitat for the Northern Spotted Owl. This conservation agreement also provides protection for Left Fork Sardine Creek which flows to the Rogue River. SOLC is honored to add this partnership to our family of 64 conserved properties, adding 47 acres to SOLC’s 10,273 acres of protected lands.

Special THANKS to the landowners and you for
supporting conservation in our region!
