Volunteer Site Steward Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in our site steward program! We are currently seeking volunteers to help us care for the Rogue River Preserve in Eagle Point. Volunteer site stewards pull invasive weeds, repair fences, maintain trails, assist during community work parties, and help extend our monitoring of the Preserve. Site stewards generally work in small groups that meet at regular times either on weekends or weekdays, but solo work is possible too. The group meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 9-12.

We offer trainings at the Preserve throughout the year. In the next few years we anticipate acquiring new preserves in Jackson and Josephine Counties that will also benefit from site stewards’ help. Volunteers will get to choose which property or properties they want to steward. We ask that site stewards commit to one year of service to the Preserve with a minimum of three hours per month.

Please fill out the form below to be included in email communications about the upcoming trainings and future site steward volunteer opportunities.

Stewardship Director Kristi Mergenthaler will be in touch soon after you submit this form. If you have any questions please email Kristi.
