Description: Hike the Oredson-Todd Woods above Ashland with Karen Hussey, our new land steward, and learn about some of our resident and migratory forest birds.
Limit: 15
Meeting Location: Oresdon-Todd Woods Trailhead. Exact meeting location and directions will be emailed upon registration.
Difficulty: Easy; bring layers because this forested canyon can be chilly in spring.

Consider lending a hand for our beautiful wildlife at the Harry & Marilyn Fisher Preserve at Pompadour Bluff!
Our wonderful team of volunteers will be removing old farm and barbed wire fencing. The goal is to replace the perimeter fencing with a wildlife-friendly smooth wire fence to serve as a good neighbor for our human and wildlife friends.

This spring, John Muir Laws invited SOLC’s Education Program Manager Tara to be the guest speaker at his Nature Journal Educators’ Forum, an online weekly get-together for teachers of all kinds who use nature journaling in their work.
August gives warm welcomes, fond farewells and our sincerest "Congratulations" to the remarkable Staff of SOLC.
